LITTLE REWARDS PRACTICE STATION
When to Use Sweet Spin
Sweet Spin helps when a younger child has reached a clear, achievable goal or an everyday routine needs a playful and encouraging finish.
CLASSROOM ENCOURAGEMENT
Recognize effort and participation
Celebrate completed work, smooth transitions, teamwork, classroom jobs, and thoughtful participation without turning the reward into public comparison or shame.
CHOICE-BASED REWARDS
Offer a small, meaningful choice
Fill the wheel with adult-approved options such as choosing a song, hearing a story, playing a short game, taking a dance break, picking a sticker, or starting a simple craft.
Grown-up rule: only include rewards you are ready to provide, and keep every goal clear, achievable, and age-appropriate. Food, water, rest, bathroom access, affection, medicine, required support, and safety must never depend on a spin.
KIND REWARD SYSTEM FIELD NOTE
How to Use a Kids Rewards Wheel Fairly
Keep Sweet Spin positive by choosing appropriate rewards, explaining the goal clearly, and making sure every possible result is something the adult can provide.
Agree on the rewards first
Fill the wheel with small, adult-approved choices that suit the child’s age, interests, abilities, and support needs. Only include rewards you are comfortable giving when they are selected.
Make the goal clear and achievable
Explain what the child is working toward in simple language. Keep the goal realistic, allow needed accommodations, and focus on effort, participation, progress, or one manageable finished routine.
Honor the result kindly
Celebrate the achievement and provide the selected reward without teasing, bargaining, or changing the rules afterward. If a reward becomes unavailable, offer an equally welcome replacement with care.
