ACTIVE PLAY SELECTION STATION
When to Use This Sports Selection Wheel
Playground Pop helps when a group needs its next activity, several suitable games are available, or choosing what to play has started taking longer than the activity itself.
CAMPS AND CLUBS
Keep activity rotations moving
Build a wheel with approved games, practice stations, team activities, or skill challenges. Use each result to move the group into its next supervised round without a long debate.
FAMILY AND TEAM PLAY
Settle friendly activity choices
Let the wheel choose among backyard games, warm-ups, sports, family challenges, or informal practice ideas after the organizer confirms that every option works for the group.
Field rule: review every activity for age, ability, accessibility, supervision, weather, playing surface, available space, and equipment before it goes on the wheel.
ACTIVE PLAY FIELD NOTE
How to Use a Sports Wheel Responsibly
Let each spin suggest the next activity while keeping safety, accessibility, equipment, supervision, official rules, and the final decision with the responsible adult or organizer.
Curate appropriate activities first
Include only sports, games, and movement prompts suited to the participants’ ages, abilities, experience, access needs, available space, supervision, and equipment.
Explain the activity before play begins
Set the boundaries, time, rules, equipment, technique, stop signal, and accessible alternatives before spinning. Keep unsuitable or unavailable activities off the wheel.
Treat the result as a flexible prompt
Skip, replace, or adapt a result when weather, space, equipment, participant comfort, or other conditions have changed. No spin should require unsafe or painful play.
